I managers and supervisors in many different countries and listen to many different industries, I have heard often repeated the same problem. “Why do not people listen to what they are supposed to do?” The situation for a moment we step back and ask yourself a few straightforward questions to understand. If you ask why people do not listen to you and do not why people are guilty of what you ask them, I suggest, gently, that you find yourself these five leadership questions to ask. You might find that they are difficult to answer. If so, verify your answer for that someone who works in the environment ahead.
* Are you trying to impress people you have in mind is reliable?
* If you speak their language?
* What do you tell your employees?
* Do you trust your employees?
* Do you use positive reinforcement when you get compliance?
Let’s have a look at the first question. The only people who can answer the people who are trying to impress. Do you think that is largely irrelevant. However, without credibility, your message does not matter how it is distributed will never get through.
The next question is very simple. Do you use language and corporate thing when you get a message to people on the shop floor are trying to? So many managers and executives fall into this trap. How many times have officers in the board room to get a message to workers when they are trying to use the language?
What people are saying just does not work. If you want to change in practice to those who need to change the process involved is important. Prescribing change is one of the most common ways to fail. Asking for feedback and offering the opportunity to contribute to the much more successful.
Trust is the reliability of the content. Without it, you can not manage change successfully. In today’s business environment, a leader of the most important job is to generate mutual trust and understanding. If you need for organizations to implement changes to meet new demands of customers and markets have failed to see that you believe is missing.
The final question a resounding ‘yes’ answer should be. To achieve change is hard but even harder to maintain the necessary leadership tools you can not be used. Positive reinforcement will ensure that the change in behavior continues until the new behavior is normal. For some reason, managers, supervisors and officers to use positive reinforcement when someone is asking for is that they fail. Use yourself as an example, if you do something different and be recognized for it, you do not repeat it? In this regard, you are no different from their employees. A powerful tool that someone in a leadership position can not be ignored the “catch people doing it right.”
